Tim, a 48-year-old from St. Louis, describes how he thinks fantasy provides a more accessible and convenient way to digest baseball games he may only catch highlights of on T.V….

In fantasy baseball, you’re able to get caught up on all the players and games you’re concerned with.

The players’ stats are constantly changing as the actual games progress.  I can sit down on my own time and seek out the information that I want to know. I don’t have to sit through Sports Center hoping they highlight the games I’m looking for.

I have found that I’m spending more time tracking games online, though. I think I used to watch more games live—at home, at bars, or wherever. Now I’m watching gamecasts online during the day, checking the stats of my players and monitoring other teams in my league. I still love going to the ballpark, but it just doesn’t happen that often, unfortunately.

I do think it’s an advantage that fantasy offers—being able to constantly have access to all the information you need to make decisions about the team you own.
